Chef Mary Beth Brinkerhoff
Please allow me to introduce myself! My name is Mary Beth Brinkerhoff. I am a busy wife and mother of three, and your personal chef!
After twenty years dedicated to evaluating and teaching young children and their families as a Speech and Language Pathologist, I am delighted to be pursuing this new path in life…. the one that leads to your kitchen!
As an avid collector of cookbooks, recipes, magazines and all things to do with food, I have learned about many techniques and cuisines, and will be pleased to share my passion with you! I have been cooking and entertaining family and friends for as long as I can remember, and have taken numerous classes over the years to experience and learn about cooking new cuisines and to educate myself about techniques and trends in food.
My experiences with food and its preparation are deeply influenced by my mother. As a child, my brother and I were encouraged to try new foods and to learn to prepare simple meals. My mother loved to learn about foods, and I have vivid memories of weekends watching Julia Childs on PBS, and of her trying the new recipes and techniques. She was a collector of Bon Appetit and Gourmet magazines, and for a number of years was in a gourmet dinner club with friends. I remember watching her plan “exotic” meals with her friends, and getting to try the new and unusual dishes that they prepared. I was blessed to have a mother who instilled in me that there is wonderful food beyond the “meat and potatoes” fare, and who never served meals from cans or boxes. We learned the value of good, nutritious food, to have adventurous palates, and to love cooking!
I have access to incredible culinary professionals and thousands of recipes to make your dinners and special occasions memorable! I am fully insured and have completed a national ServSafe course that certifies me in both food handling and sanitation.
There is nothing I like more than knowing I can help my clients live more healthy, happy lives by providing delicious, nutritious foods, and that I can help bring families back to the dinner table together. I am happy to work with my clients to meet any special health or dietary needs, from weight loss or management, to food sensitivities and allergies.
Please feel free to contact me for a no obligation interview to see how I can be of service to you and your family!
